Canada’s Best Podcasts Emerge as Nominees for the 7th Canadian Podcast Awards
The Canadian Podcast Awards is excited to announce the nominees for its seventh annual awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in Canadian podcasting. With a record-setting 1,984 submissions this year, the awards feature 96 finalists across 29 categories, highlighting the best of Canada’s vibrant podcasting landscape. A total of 336 podcasts have been nominated by fellow Canadian podcasters, showcasing the remarkable diversity and creativity within Canada’s podcasting community.
Among the top-nominated podcasts are Geist and Happy to See Me, both earning widespread recognition for their distinctive storytelling and connection with listeners:
- Geist, a dark and atmospheric series, has garnered six nominations, including Outstanding Arts Series and Original Music and Lyrics. Known for its immersive storytelling and chilling sound design, Geist has captivated listeners with its eerie and thought-provoking content.
- Happy to See Me, hosted by Erika Casupanan, has earned five nominations, including Debut Series and Society & Culture. Erika, the winner of Survivor 41, highlights the overlooked and underestimated, featuring inspiring interviews with guests from pop culture, social media, and reality TV. The podcast explores their journeys through self-doubt and judgment, creating a safe space for empowering, authentic conversations.
