I changed podcast hosts or my RSS feed URL. How do I update it?

Last modified: October, 27 2026

Don’t resubmit your show. A second submission creates a duplicate listing. Your current listing, and any nominations on it, can be pointed at the new feed instead.

Best option: set up a feed redirect

  1. Log in to the hosting platform where your old feed lives.
  2. Find the feed redirect or “move your podcast” setting and enter your new feed URL. This adds an itunes:new-feed-url tag to the old feed (or a permanent 301 redirect), which tells Apple Podcasts, Spotify and us where the show now lives.
  3. Leave the redirect running for at least a few months. Don’t cancel the old hosting account right away.
  4. Give us a few days. When we see the redirect we switch your listing to the new feed automatically.

Can’t set up a redirect, or the old feed is already gone?

If you are a verified owner of the show, you can change the feed yourself:

  1. Log in and open your show’s page in the directory, then go to its edit view.
  2. Click the Change (pencil) button next to your RSS feed address.
  3. Tick the box confirming you can’t set up a redirect, enter your new feed URL, and click Check and update.

We compare the new feed to your listing, including the podcast GUID, the show title and your episodes. If your old feed is gone (or already points to the new one) and everything matches, the change is applied right away.

If your old feed is still live, we’ll ask you to set up a redirect from it first. If we can’t confirm automatically that it’s the same show, click Ask our team to review and we’ll check it for you. Automatic changes are limited to one every 90 days per show.

Not a verified owner of the show? Use the Report an issue with this listing link on your show’s page and put the new feed URL in the details.

If a network took over your show

Ask the network to set up the redirect from your old host to their new feed. Re-launching with a brand new feed and no redirect looks like a different show to every directory, ours included.

Already submitted the new feed as a separate show?

Use the Report an issue with this listing link on the old listing, choose “Duplicate or fake listing”, and put the new feed URL in the details.

After a feed change your show may briefly go back into the review queue. That doesn’t affect your ability to be nominated.
