Why am I being asked to wait for review before I can nominate?

Last modified: October, 27 2026

To nominate your show, two things have to be in place. If either one is missing, you’ll be asked to wait for review before you can continue.

1. Your account has to be approved

New accounts are reviewed by our team before they can nominate. Once your account is approved it stays approved. Editing your profile later doesn’t take your approval away. See When will my account be approved? for the current wait time.

2. Your show has to list you as a host

The person nominating must be credited as a Host on the show’s listing, with dates that cover the content year, and linked to their account. If your name is missing from the show’s credits, or isn’t marked as Host, you can’t nominate until that’s fixed. Credits come from your RSS feed and from team members added on our site. See How do I remove someone from my podcast’s credits? for how each is changed.

A show can also be sent back for review

If your show’s core feed details change (title, feed URL, podcast host, owner name or email), the show goes back into review. That’s separate from your account. See Why was my podcast sent back for review?

Do I have to do this every year?

No. Account approval and show listings carry over from year to year. If you’re being asked to wait again and you’re not sure why, log in, open your show’s page in the directory and use the Report an issue with this listing link at the bottom. Choose “Other” and tell us what you’re seeing.
